Australians travelling to the United Kingdom for a visit now need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before they travel.
What is a UK ETA?
An ETA is a digital permission to travel, linked to your passport. It is generally valid for multiple trips over two years, or until your passport expires. If you get a new passport, you need a new ETA.
What you'll need
- The passport you will travel with
- A photo of your passport's photo page
- A photo of your face on a plain background
- Your home address and occupation
- Answers to the criminal conviction questions, which you answer yourself
You don't need flight or hotel details for a UK ETA.
